Enrolment

Please read our admissions policy and if you would like to enroll your child in our service please fill in the contact form on the ‘contact us’ tab and we will contact you as soon as possible to arrange a viewing.

It is the policy of Tir na nOg Childcare Service that our service is open to all families in our community. We are committed to operating open and fair admissions procedures.

PROCEDURES:

• We offer equal access to all children.
• Children must be at least 2 and a half when starting with us.
• Children must be toilet trained.
• Parents seeking to secure a place for their child must complete an enrolment form. A completed enrolment form must be lodged with the service prior to the child attending.
• A letter will be sent out firstly to parents of children that attend the service, to see if they wish to enrol siblings.
• Children will be admitted on a ‘first come first served’ basis, following submission of the enrolment form.
• If there are no remaining places a waiting list will be drawn up.
• Referrals from family support services will be accepted provided there is a place available.
• Parents are welcome to come into the classroom and settle their children but we do not recommend over-staying as this can cause upset and be disruptive for the other children.
• The teacher will contact you if your child does not settle in a reasonable time frame.
• There are 3 classrooms in the building and we can cater for up to 55 children at any one time.
• The facility is wheelchair accessible in all rooms and in the outdoor area.
• Children who have been sick overnight should contact the facility to see if is advisable for the child to be on the premises.  Please see policy on Health and Nutrition policy for more details
• Please let the manager know if your child is not attending on that day by text or phone call.
• One month’s notice in writing is required if your child is leaving the service.
